RATTAN EXPORT VIETNAM · B2B FAQ

Answers Before You Build The RFQ

Good sourcing decisions depend on the actual product, supplier, packing method, order scale and destination. These FAQs explain the commercial questions buyers usually need to resolve before quotation, sampling, production and shipment.

Ordering & MOQ

3

There is no single site-wide MOQ for every product. MOQ depends on the selected item, construction, materials, customization, packing method and the supplier suited to the project.

Our main model is container-based B2B sourcing. MOQ is confirmed per SKU/supplier and then reviewed against the 20ft, 40ft or 40HC order plan.

Yes. Rattan Export Vietnam is structured primarily for professional, container-oriented sourcing rather than consumer retail. The correct container type depends on product mix, packed dimensions, weight and commercial objective.

Potentially, yes. Feasibility depends on SKU minimums, supplier coordination, packed dimensions, production-ready dates and loading compatibility. If several suppliers are involved, consolidation and documentation responsibilities must also be defined.

Product Development & OEM

2

OEM, ODM and private-label development can be evaluated for suitable products and suppliers. Possible changes include dimensions, materials, weaving, finish, hardware, cushions, labels and packaging.

Customization becomes production-ready only after feasibility, commercial impact and the approved sample/specification are clear.

Yes, as a starting point. A reference image does not define dimensions, internal construction, material grade, finish, hardware, packing or expected quality by itself. Those details are clarified before a quote is treated as reliable.

Samples, Quality & Compliance

3

The process depends on whether the product is standard, modified or fully custom. A development sample can confirm dimensions, materials, construction, weaving, finish and critical details.

Buyer comments should be recorded against a version. Bulk production should follow the approved reference and agreed specification.

Quality control begins with specification, not only with final inspection. Dimensions, materials, construction, weave, finish, hardware, visual standards and packing requirements need an agreed reference.

Depending on scope, checkpoints can include sample approval, in-production review and/or pre-shipment inspection.

Certifications, test reports and compliance documents are supplier-, product- and destination-specific. We do not claim one universal certificate set for every item.

Mandatory market or buyer requirements should be included in the RFQ so they can affect supplier selection, testing, documentation and quotation.

Packaging & Container Planning

3

Options may include individual cartons, multi-pack cartons, protective wrapping, edge protection, nesting, stacking, knock-down configurations, hardware bags, labels and buyer-specific carton marks where technically suitable.

The right solution balances protection, handling, presentation and CBM.

There is no universal unit count. Real loading depends on final packed dimensions, carton geometry, nesting/KD, stacking restrictions, weight, void space and loading method.

Early figures should be marked preliminary / TBC until the supplier confirms the packing basis.

For bulky furniture and décor, packed dimensions can materially change container utilization and landed economics. Final planning should use the export pack dimensions, not only product dimensions.

Export, Incoterms & Logistics

3

Relevant Incoterms can be evaluated per enquiry and supplier arrangement. The selected term should be explicit because it changes responsibility for pickup, export handling, freight, insurance and other steps.

Compare offers on the same Incoterm basis.

Freight can be requested where relevant, but ocean rates, surcharges, equipment and space availability are time-sensitive. Any freight figure should carry a date, route, container type and inclusion basis.

Commercial invoice and packing list are common. Certificates of origin, inspection reports, fumigation-related documents, material declarations or other records may depend on product, destination and buyer requirements.

The document set should be discussed during RFQ/quotation, not after cargo is ready.

Quotation & Buyer Support

5

Lead time is confirmed against the actual supplier, product, quantity, customization, material availability and current production schedule. We do not publish one fixed production time for every order.

Payment terms are not assumed to be identical for every supplier or order. They are confirmed during quotation based on the supplier relationship, order scope and commercial arrangement.

Send product references/SKUs, dimensions or specifications where available, target quantity or container strategy, destination, preferred Incoterm if known, customization, packing/label requirements and any compliance requirements.

If some details are unknown, send what you have. We can separate what must be confirmed before pricing from what can be confirmed during development.

Normalize the commercial scope first: equivalent dimensions, materials, construction, finish, packing, quantity, quality reference and Incoterm.

For bulky furniture, also compare packed CBM and realistic container utilization. The lowest unit price may simply represent a different specification or packing basis.

Vietnam is worth serious evaluation because natural-material craftsmanship can be considered alongside a broader export-manufacturing ecosystem, furniture production, mixed-material capability, packaging and trade infrastructure.

We do not claim Vietnam is automatically the cheapest origin for every product. The stronger comparison is total commercial value: product fit, repeatability, packing efficiency, supplier capability, quality discipline and export readiness.
